[00:00:00] Welcome to The Bi Pod, a podcast about all things bisexual. I'm Evan and my pronouns are they and them.
[00:00:06] And I'm Christina. My pronouns are she and her.
[00:00:09] We welcome anyone who has any kind of relationship with or curiosity about queerness.

[00:00:25] This podcast is one piece of the long history of bisexual and queer discourse.
[00:00:30] We don't know everything. At all.
[00:00:33] We're here to be part of the conversation. Let's get into it.
[00:00:53] Hello, Christina. Hello, Evan.
[00:00:56] Today, we're going to talk to each other. I know that's a real oddity on this podcast.
[00:01:02] Yeah. We got some feedback from our patrons. We asked them what they wanted. Asked y'all what
[00:01:11] y'all wanted. And you said you wanted us to talk to each other, which is really weird. And like kind
[00:01:17] of an out-of-the-box idea. But we'll try it just this once.
[00:01:21] Wow. A podcast where the hosts talk to each other?
[00:01:23] Yeah. I don't know.
[00:01:23] We are breaking new ground.
[00:01:24] Yeah. I mean, we do it for you. So we're going to try this new format when we talk to each other.
[00:01:32] But yeah, the patrons get what they want around here.
[00:01:36] Let it never be said that we don't give people what they want.
[00:01:39] Yeah. Yeah. Let no one ever say. But we take feedback.
[00:01:43] Yes. In fact, we're being silly, but more specifically,
[00:01:46] we're going to talk a little bit about what's going on in our lives.
[00:01:51] Yeah. I'm going to give you a crush update.
[00:01:55] If you're not a patron and you're listening to your little snippet in the main feed,
[00:02:03] and you are not compelled to go to Patreon and give us literally at least $2 to hear Evan talk about
[00:02:10] their crush, I don't know what to tell you.
[00:02:13] I'm like already over here like curling it on myself.
[00:02:16] Evan is covering their face even though this is an audio medium.
[00:02:21] Yeah. I love to talk about your crush.
[00:02:24] Oh, God.
[00:02:25] Yeah. We're going to do that. I'm going to talk about my crush. Just kidding.
[00:02:33] Nobody cares.
[00:02:35] We've all heard you talk about Hozier before, Christina.
[00:02:38] You guys know how I feel about him.
[00:02:40] I have a really big crush on Hozier. I sometimes forget that.
[00:02:44] It's warranted.
[00:02:45] Yeah. But sometimes I'm like, this is what it feels like.
[00:02:49] Anyways.
[00:02:52] I'm sad that I couldn't go to the show.
[00:02:54] Oh, I know. I wish you were there.
[00:02:57] I was. We had Hozier tickets and I got sick and I couldn't go in. It was really sad.
[00:03:03] Yeah. He'll tour again. I promise.
[00:03:06] He will. He will.
[00:03:06] And we'll go. Okay.
[00:03:07] But I'm not going to talk about Hozier except for right now.
[00:03:10] I'm going to talk about my current book projects with an S. One of which will be out soon and one of
[00:03:19] which you all may never read because it's too much for me.
[00:03:24] I had to tell Christina what it was about. I earnestly thought that she knew.
[00:03:28] Yeah.
[00:03:29] I was like, you know, and she's like, I don't.
[00:03:31] Yeah. Yeah. And then I had to close my laptop after writing group and just like go stare at the sun.
[00:03:37] Yeah. So that's what we're going to talk about today.
[00:03:40] Um, and we love doing these kinds of episodes because we love to chat.
[00:03:46] Um, and I also like something I've said this before, but something that I like about our Patreon as a container is that like,
[00:03:55] I don't put all my private personal business out there, but it is nice to have a space where I'm like, okay,
[00:04:01] the folks who are listening already like have some level of investment in the show.
[00:04:06] Yes.
[00:04:07] Um, and they have some like level of investment in us as like creators and as people.
[00:04:12] Um, and so it feels like I'm like catching up with people who I know.
[00:04:17] Yes.
[00:04:17] Which is nice.
[00:04:18] I can talk about my crush without worrying that my crush.
[00:04:22] What if your crush becomes a patron?
[00:04:24] Never.
[00:04:25] True.
[00:04:26] True.
[00:04:27] We take all the episodes down.
[00:04:29] I'd be like, just delete me as a person.
[00:04:31] Actually.
[00:04:32] Um, this podcast is open by, is hosted by Christina Brown and someone else.
[00:04:39] Uh, redacted, redacted.
[00:04:43] Just everything I've ever said.
[00:04:44] Just get rid of it.
[00:04:45] The whole, um, hot people slideshow is just redacted.
[00:04:51] God, that's on the main feed now.
[00:04:54] I think it's good.
[00:04:55] The transparency that people love.
[00:04:57] Um, but yeah, we're going to get into that.
[00:05:00] Um, and if you want to hear it, if you're on Patreon, you just stay right here.
[00:05:06] Um, but if you are not a patron, then slide on over and give us your money and listen to our tea.
[00:05:16] You just heard a preview of this episode.
[00:05:18] To hear the rest of it, head over to patreon.com slash the bipod.
[00:05:23] For as little as $2 a month, you can access this and other episodes, monthly playlists, and other exclusive content.
